Not to be confused with the earlier screw-mount Takumars, the “Takumar (Bayonet)” line was Pentax's budget K-mount range from around 1980, sold with entry-level bodies such as the MV and ME Super kits. It lacks the SMC multicoating of the main Pentax line and has no “A” setting, but the 55mm f/1.8 is optically a capable standard lens.
