The SMC Takumar 55mm f/1.8 is the multicoated version of Asahi's classic M42 screw-mount standard lens, typically sold with the Spotmatic F. With a Spotmatic F it supports open-aperture metering; on other bodies it works in stop-down mode via the Auto/Manual switch. Well regarded for its smooth rendering and build quality, it adapts easily to mirrorless cameras. Comes with the original Asahi metal hood.
