The smc Pentax-M 50mm f/1.7 is the compact standard lens from Pentax's late-1970s M series, made to match the smaller M-series bodies. It is manual focus with a full aperture ring and no "A" setting, so on Pentax DSLRs it works in stop-down/manual mode. Sharp, light and inexpensive, it is one of the most popular Pentax K primes and adapts easily to mirrorless bodies.
